As a painter and photographer Michael Wolfe draws inspiration from the landscape around his home in Castlemaine, Victoria. He has exhibited widely in Australia and internationally and his work is included in public, corporate and private collections.

“Vaughan Springs is a tiny hamlet on the Loddon River near Castlemaine. It was home to 1000s of gold miners trying their luck and a permanent population of Chinese market gardeners who planted crops along the Loddon River. The high walled escarpment rises from the river.”
